"114. Do not seek to receive any form or shape during prayer.
115. Do not desire to see angels or powers or Christ sensibly so that your mind does not completely leave you, as you would be receiving a wolf instead of a shepherd and worshipping enemy demons.
116. The beginning of the mind's deception is vainglory. From this, the mind moves and tries to define the divine with shapes and forms.
117. I will say my own word, which I have told younger ones: Blessed is the mind that has acquired perfect formlessness during prayer.
118. Blessed is the mind that, because it prays without distraction, always gains more desire for God.
119. Blessed is the mind that during prayer becomes immaterial and unpossessive.
120. Blessed is the mind that alienates itself from every sense (perception) of material things during prayer."
